The National Library of Medicine (NLM) developed ALTBIB to provide access to PubMed citations for users seeking information on alternatives to animal testing. Many citations provide access to free full text.

AltTox Resource Center: provides information on meetings, organizations, literature, databases, training, testing labs, testing supplies, protocols, sources of funding, and awards relevant to the research, development, and validation of in vitro and in silico test methods.

DB-ALM ECVAM Database Service on Alternative Methods to Animal Experimentation: publicly accessible collection of alternative method summaries and protocols, focusing primarily on methods submitted to EURL ECVAM for validation, and those identified in ad hoc reviews of the literature and end-users in specific application areas between 2000 and 2019.

EURL ECVAM Genotoxicity and Carcinogenicity Consolidated Database of Ames Positive Chemicals: compiles available genotoxicity and carcinogenicity data for Ames positive chemicals originating from different sources.

EURL ECVAM Search Guide: provides search principles and procedures, suggested search terms and user guidance together with an inventory of information resources to support untrained database users in finding information on relevant alternative strategies and methods on the Internet.

FCS (fetal calf serum)-free Database: provides an overview of non-fetal-calf-serum media for use in cell culture. Supported by 3Rs-Centre ULS in collaboration with Animal Free Research UK.

Non Animal Technologies Database: The NAT database (Non-Animal Technologies) contains information on modern non-animal technologies from various areas of biomedicine and life sciences, based on scientific studies and publications.
