ATLA (Alternatives to Laboratory Animals): covers all aspects of the development, validation, implementation and use of alternatives to laboratory animals in biomedical research and toxicity testing, as well as work that aims to reduce the number of animals used and refine the in vivo experiments that are still carried out.
Animal Welfare: publishes the results of peer-reviewed scientific research, technical studies and reviews relating to the welfare of kept animals and of those in the wild whose welfare is compromised by human activities. Also includes papers on related ethical and legal issues and commentary on topical issues such as developments in legislation and codes of practice relating to animal welfare.
